A crash guard covers the sides, but the underside of the engine is just as exposed the moment you hit a rock ledge or a pothole at the wrong angle — that's a separate problem an engine guard is built to solve.

This lower guard bolts beneath the engine cases to take the scrape instead of the alloy casing underneath, using a mild-steel construction sized to clear the exhaust header and stock bash points on the 250/390 Adventure platform.

Works alongside the crash guard rather than replacing it — together they cover the sides and the underside.
