The Dominar and the RS 200 were both built to feel a step above the usual commuter — quick, eager, a little sporty. A restrictive paper air filter works against that character. The BMC FM01021 works with it.

This is a panel filter, shaped to drop straight into the stock airbox in place of the paper element — no cutting, no re-jetting, no drama. Inside, multiple layers of cotton gauze soaked in low-viscosity oil do a job the stock paper filter can't quite match: they let more air flow through to the engine, while still catching particles down to 7 microns — finer filtration than a typical ~10-micron paper filter, even with the extra airflow.

It's built using BMC's single-mould "Full Moulding" process, so there are no welded seams to eventually crack, and the soft rubber lip conforms tightly to the airbox for a proper airtight seal. Riders typically notice a crisper, more immediate throttle response — exactly the kind of sharpness these engines are capable of, once they're not breathing through a restriction.

No more filter replacements at every service. The FM01021 comes pre-oiled and ready to fit. Once it's due a clean, wash it and re-oil it with a BMC regeneration kit, and it's back to full performance — the same filter, for years, instead of a new paper one every few thousand kilometres.
