The pattern is laser-cut to a mesh open enough that cooling performance stays basically unaffected - you get protection without giving up thermal management on hot days or in traffic.

The grill is shaped to match the Apache RTR 310's radiator shroud, so it clips into place using the factory mounting points and sits flush against the bodywork.
