Description

The new 450 platform is a proper step up for Royal Enfield — liquid-cooled, more power, a genuinely eager engine underneath. Feeding it through the same restrictive paper filtration as the old air-cooled bikes doesn't do it justice.

The BMC FM01210 is a cylindrical filter engineered specifically for this new engine's airbox, built from layered cotton gauze soaked in low-viscosity oil and shielded by an epoxy-coated alloy mesh. It's not a generic filter forced to fit — BMC designed this one after the 450 platform launched in 2024, matched precisely to it. The payoff is airflow the engine can actually use, plus filtration down to 7 microns against the stock filter's ~10.

Everything is formed in a single mould — no seams, no weak joints — with a soft rubber edge that seals tightly into the stock airbox. It's a direct swap for the OEM filter, no cutting or modification required, on either the Himalayan 450 or the Guerrilla 450.

One filter, years of use. It's pre-oiled from the factory. Wash and re-oil it with a BMC regeneration kit whenever it's due — no repeat purchases, no filter changes at every service like the paper original.
