Mud, roots, and trail debris thrown up by the rear wheel go straight at the chain and sprocket on an unguarded KLX — accelerating wear and occasionally catching on something at the worst moment.

This guard is a formed aluminium shield that covers the upper chain run, keeping debris off the chain and reducing the mess that ends up flung onto the swingarm and rear shock.

Bolts to the factory swingarm mounting points without interfering with chain adjustment.
